Title: Team Lead Direct Care Staff (Team Lead DCS)

$19.00 - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable individual to join our team as a Team Lead Direct Care Staff (DCS). This position is the fast track to a manager role over multiple homes. As a Team Lead DCS, you will play a critical role in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them to live as independently as possible in a safe and nurturing environment. You will also be  working closely together with the DCS team in a supervisory role to provide seamless care for our residents. 

Responsibilities:

- Coordinate schedules and shifts of employees to provide 24/7 presence with our residents

- Ensure all shifts are properly covered and be willing to cover shifts in case of no shows or tardiness, if necessary

- Train DCS’s, inspect quality of care of residents, cleanliness of homes, compliance with all company and government policies

- Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal care tasks and cooking.

- Implement individualized care plans.

- Ensure a clean, safe, and supportive environment within the home.

- Maintain accurate documentation of individual progress and activities.

- Support individuals in achieving their personal goals and enhancing their independence.

- Facilitate community outings and social activities.

- Transport clients to appointments and activities using a reliable personal vehicle.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Two years or more prior experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a supervisory/managerial/team lead role preferred

- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Clean driving record and reliable transportation.

- Ability to pass a criminal background check.

- Physical ability to assist clients with mobility and personal care tasks.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
